Soldier Power Test & Evaluation Coordinator (G)

As the Soldier Power Test & Evaluation Coordinator ( Acquisition Specialist ) based out of Fort Belvoir, VA, you will have an opportunity to work within the Project Manager Soldier Warrior (SWAR) providing acquisition testing and operational support to the Soldier Power Program. You will focus on the development and maturation of Soldier power systems testing protocols, standards and processes to evaluate effectiveness and interoperability

Highlights of Responsibilities:

  • Provide test coordination, oversight, subject matter expertise, and consultation on acquisition testing process, requirements and impacts on Soldier Power systems.
  • Assist in the definition, development and maintenance of system testing processes, tools and procedures.
  • Identify, qualify and quantify risks and develop mitigation strategies for Soldier Power systems testing.
  • Identify and analyze situations and/or issues, consider options, develop solutions and decide on, implement and monitor solutions for the test and evaluation of soldier power systems to meet program requirements.
  • Provide customer support experience at highest level of commitment to quality.
  • Ability to generate, and desire to communicate, innovative ideas in a collaborative environment.
  • Provide mission oriented – Strong critical thinking and problem solving skills.
  • Able to travel up to 50% if needed.
  • Active DoD Secret clearance.
  • Education and Experience requirements:
    • High School AND 14yrs progressive related experience OR
    • Associates field AND 12yrs progressive related experience OR
    • Bachelor in non-directly related field AND 10yrs progressive related experience OR
    • Bachelor in directly related field AND 5yrs progressive related experience OR
    • Masters in non-directly related field AND 5yrs progressive related experience OR
    • Masters in directly related field AND 0yrs experience
  • General familiarity with the Army’s role for the Infantry Soldier and his associated equipment.
  • Strong knowledge on associated Soldier Power technologies and emerging trends in the commercial market.
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of the Department of Defense (DoD) Acquisition Testing supported by experience with Army Test and Evaluation Command processes.
  • Demonstrated strong oral and communications skills.


Preferred Education and Experience:

  • Strong working knowledge on Microsoft Office tools to include Word, Excel, Project and Power Point (Databases -Desired).
  • Strong working knowledge and experience in Modeling and Simulation (M&S) tools and its relative influence on product development, product testing, and associated data relevancy produced using M&S tools and processes (Desired).
