As an Enterprise Host Based Security System ( HBSS ) ePolicy Orchestrator ( ePO ) Systems Engineer – Senior ( Systems Engineer ), you will provide services in support of the U.S. Army Network Enterprise Technology Command (NETCOM). You will provide operational and technical engineering support for the implementation, testing, integration, interoperability, and sustainment of information technologies comprising NETCOM Enterprise capabilities. You will support engineering support, testing and technical support in the implementation of the Network Operations (NetOps) capabilities. Support government efforts in continued deployment of enterprise NetOps capabilities that directly support the Army’s maturing transformation and modularity concepts, doctrine, architecture, and organizations

 

Highlights of Responsibilities:

  • Research and analyze DoD and Department of the Army (DA) policies to mitigate problems in implementing new HBSS modules and changes to the configuration of existing modules.
  • Sustain, maintain, and document the Army Enterprise HBSS baseline, test all system changes, and provide input into the project configuration management database for Government certification.
  • Provide engineering support for pilot sites analyzing new capabilities, and configuration management/sustainment of engineered HBSS solutions.
  • Review existing documentation and plans, as well as new draft documentation, to ensure they accurately detail the implementation of HBSS capabilities within the LandWarNet.
  • Load, configure, and analyze applicable HBSS software patches in a test environment and provide test results within 15 business days of tasking.
  • Perform system design and enterprise sustainment document reviews.
  • Review project requirement and design documentation to ensure solutions are consistent, gaps are not present and solutions are not redundantly developed.
  • Evaluate input/output processes and working parameters for hardware/software compatibility.
  • Provide support for pilot sites evaluating new capabilities, or configuration management/sustainment of engineered HBSS solutions.
  • Create, modify, provide input to, or finalize the following documentation: Configuration Management Plan (CMP), Enterprise Techniques Procedures (ETPs), and Concept of Operations (CONOPS).
  • Publish, when approved by the Government, HBSS baseline and system changes to Army Knowledge Online or through other suitable means as tasked.

Requirements:

  • Current Information Assurance (IA) certification (required at performance start date): IAT III (CISA, GCIH, GCED, CISSP (or Associate), CASP). IA Certification Category and Level (IAW DoD 8570.10-M and BBP 05-PR-M-0002)
  • Current Computing Environment (CE) certification (attainable within 6 months of performance start date): HBSS Administrators Course
  • Clearance (required at performance start date): IT Level II (in accordance with AR 25-2) SECRET T3 (formerly NACLC)
  • Bachelors Degree in IT with at least seven years practical experience;  twelve years of direct relevant technical experience may be substituted for education.
  • Five years’ work experience with ePO
